What is IWD?
International Women’s Day is a day to hightlight and provide a moment to showcase women and their right to equality and raise awareness of new initiatives and actions that are taking place. It also provides an opportunity to celebrate and showcase women’s achievements.
This day is celebrated and supported globally by a range of organisations including; governments, educational institutions, community groups, professional associations, women’s networks, charities and non-profit bodies, the media and more.
Collectively we can make a difference.
This international day is a big day for sharing inspiration and continuing to promote change to continue to help build a more gender equal world.

Due to last year’s success, Sarah Cassim from Hawkesbury Women in Business and Kylie King from our own Penrith-Blue Mountains Ladies in Business have decided to join forces again to bring you an amazing “out-of -the-box” event.
This year’s event is a celebration of YOU!!
We will be focusing on SELF-LOVE AND BODY POSITIVITY.
The #breakthebias we are themeing this year’s event around is the perception and labels we have put on ourselves to what the correct body type is, the way we sould look and what fashions and trends we should follow.
We will be flipping the script on what the media has led us to believe is the “appropriate” way to look and embrace the amazingly unique and beautiful person you are.
